Is All Protein Created Equal?

NOT ALL PROTEINS ARE CREATED EQUAL! And if you have a good NUT she will tell you not all proteins will work for WLS patients because we NEED the essential amino acids as well, so get a protein that has both! Here’s an example!
This is a bad choice for protein (see below):

The whey protein uses "a proprietary blend", which includes "Collagen Protein Isolate". This is CHEAP protein! This protein has a PER (Protein Efficiency Ratio - Google it) of almost ZERO. It contains little or no tryptophane, one of the essential Amino Acids necessary for the formation and utilization of all the other amino acids. It is a lot cheaper for a manufacturer to purchase hydrolyzed gelatin than a true natural whey milk protein naturally extracted during the processing of cheese, after which the lactose, a milk sugar, is removed. If you are taking this to build muscle, you are wasting your money. Whether it has 42g of protein or not doesn't matter - it's not getting absorbed into your body, so it's empty calories. Find something with 100% whey protein, if you prefer dairy based protein.
I RETURNED my product to Amazon! As you will see below, the first protein listed in the blend is Collagen Protein.
